The Torque-free Dual Coaxial Commutator enables tangle-free connection between a stationary data acquisition device and two headstages on a freely-moving animal. It is compatible with any two ONIX headstages or Miniscope V4. Torque-free active commutation is driven by interfacing with a variety of head-orientation tracking technologies including:

Works in Bonsai for acquisition with the ONIX Acquisition Sytem and Miniscope DAQ.

The commutator is open source and easy to extend for custom miniscopes, headstages, etc.
