The Torque-free SPI Commutator enables tangle-free connection between a stationary data acquisition device and the headstage of a freely-moving animal. It is compatible with any 3D-capable SPI headstage for the Acquisition Board (3rd Generation). Torque-free active commutation is driven by interfacing with a variety of head-orientation tracking technologies including:

Works in the Open Ephys GUI (v1.0 and above) for acquisition with the Acquisition Board (3rd Generation).
